Bragg will present a session entitled "The What, When, Why and How for CMMI Training." While the process for preparing for appraisal is complicated enough, it is critical to plan effective training and instill the right culture for an organization's ongoing CMMI work. Bragg will discuss the initial training steps and foundation activities to support ongoing process improvement work. The session covers real-world scenarios and demonstrates the results effective planning and execution have to institutionalize the training process and ensure ongoing CMMI success.

Following Bragg's presentation, Derby will share insights on the challenges and best practices for moving from Level 3 or 4 to Level 5 appraisal. Topics include how to develop Level 4 and 5 processes, determining institutionalization and stability, refining measurements, and statistical techniques. Real-world examples will help attendees avoid slip-ups on the way to Level 5, and effectively transition from proactive to predictive management.
