AVISTA Promotes Christenson to Business Development Manager
Experienced Software Engineer to Support AVISTA's Growing Business Opportunities in Avionics, Government and Medical Device Software Engineering Services
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – June 21,
2007 – AVISTA Incorporated®, a leader in critical
systems software engineering services, has promoted John Christenson,
senior software engineer, to business development manager. Increasing
demand by its client for its software engineering expertise led
AVISTA to expand its business development team. Christenson brings
more than 20 years of experience in software engineering and customer-facing
technical sales roles, giving him the right mix of skills and expertise
to help AVISTA's avionics, government and medical device clients
optimize their software development programs.
First joining AVISTA in 2001, Christenson most recently worked
as a software engineer to support the DO-178B certification projects
for aircraft and avionics clients. Prior to AVISTA, he spent more
than ten years with Rockwell Automation, managing vendor evaluation
projects, as well as in technical sales support roles. His background
also includes software design and project management roles with
Clear With Computers (now Firepond) and Lands' End. Christenson
holds a Bachelor's Degree in computer science from the University
of Wisconsin, Oshkosh.
