Job Title: Software Quality Assurance

Department/Divistion: SQA
Location: AVISTA Headquarters, Platteville, WI

Job Summary
This full-time position is responsible for a variety of quality assignments in support of the Quality and Engineering staff. This position will perform task-related duties under the direction of the Quality Assurance Manager.

Minimum Qualifications Guidelines

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Has completed a four-year bachelor’s degree. Prefer B.S., or higher, in Software Engineering.
• Has a minimum of 3 years of full-time experience in software quality practices. Prefer more than seven years full-time work experience with mission-critical embedded software.

And

• Meet goals and objectives from evaluations as determined by the Quality Assurance Manager and/or Programs Manager
• Knowledge of software quality practices in avionics, medical electronics, or any other industry in which the company does business. (i.e. basic comprehension of industry standards (e.g., DO-178B, configuration management concepts, software development and verification processes, process and product auditing).
• Ability to investigate and analyze information and to draw conclusions.
• Awareness of ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements.
• Must be detail-oriented with a focus on the overall quality objectives.
• Ability to be thorough in completing assignments.
• Understanding of proper documentation of activities.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Provide customer support and assistance.
• Support various amounts of overtime depending on project needs.
• Travel as needed
